AAA Home & Away Magazine Mentions Hiking Web Site

AAA mentions hiking web site for Smoky Mountains in latest issue of their popular travel magazine

Louisville, Ky. (July 3, 2008) - The American Automobile Association (AAA) published a short article referencing the launch of HikingintheSmokys.com in the July/August issue of Home & Away Magazine. The blurb appears in the Here & There column, a popular front-of-the-book department. The article announces the recent launch and key features of HikingintheSmokys.com, the most comprehensive hiking web site for the Smoky Mountain trails on the internet.

The AAA Travel publication is distributed to 1.3 million households throughout the Midwest and has three million readers every other month.

The online version of the article can be viewed here: Home & Away Magazine

HikingintheSmokys.com offers free hiking information on more than 70 trails in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, including trail descriptions, key features, pictures, videos, maps, elevation profiles, and more. Additionally, the site is organized to make it easier for hikers to compare and choose trails that best suit their hiking preferences. Before the launch of HikingintheSmokys.com, hikers had difficulty finding web-based trail information for the Smoky Mountains. Most existing sites list only 10 or 15 of the most popular trails, and provide only limited information without regard to individual hikers' skill level or preferences.
